The Speech-Language Pathologists Association is a professional association composed of individuals who have received training in the field of speech and language disorders in accordance with international standards. Its objectives include ensuring that this profession is practiced in the most beneficial and ethical manner for the public, informing the public and other professionals about language and speech disorders, and encouraging scientific research on the diagnosis and treatment of language and speech disorders. Since its establishment in late 2004, the Speech-Language Pathologists Association (DKTD) has been working to introduce the relatively new field of speech and language disorders in Turkey and, more importantly, to establish the field on a legal, scientific, and ethical basis. One of the products of these efforts is the Journal of Language, Speech, and Swallowing Research (DKYAD), which has been published three times a year since early 2018. |
