The Istanbul Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons is a Professional Organization with the Status of a Public Institution, established pursuant to Article 135 of the Constitution, which provides that: ‘Professional organizations and their umbrella organizations with the status of public institutions are public legal entities established by law for the purpose of meeting the common needs of members of a specific profession, facilitating their professional activities, ensuring the development of the profession in accordance with the public interest, and safeguarding professional discipline and ethics so as to uphold honesty and trust in the relations of professionals among themselves and with the public; their organs are elected by their own members under judicial supervision, by secret ballot, in accordance with the procedures stipulated by law. |
