Abstract

Bu çalışma dijital çağda eğitim alanında yaşanan gelişmeleri ele alarak, bu alandaki olanaklara, fırsatlara ve pratiklere odaklanmaktadır. Çalışma, ana tema olarak eğitimde dijital nitelikli uygulamaları mercek altına almaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı; dijital çağda eğitim alanındaki fırsatları genel olarak değerlendirdikten sonra, uygulamaya dönük çıktı ve sonuçları analiz etmektir. Bu bilimsel makale bir betimsel inceleme çalışması olup, özgün bir kapsam ve içerik sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Eğitimde dijital devrim olarak adlandırılabilecek çok yönlü ve derinlemesine bir değişim ve dönüşüm yaşanmaktadır. İnternet devrimi ve PC sahipliğinin yaygınlaşması, diğer bazı faktörler, pek çok alanda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da bir “dijital devrim” ortaya çıkarmıştır. Dijital çağın eğitimi, daha önce hiç var olmayan yığınla olanak ve fırsat sunmaktadır. Bu düşünsel arka plandan yola çıkan bu bilimsel çalışma, özellikle dijital ortamda gerçekleşen en iyi eğitim uygulamalarını mercek altına alarak, konuya sistematik bir bütünlük kazandırmaya çalışacaktır. Bu bağlamda yeni uygulamalar incelenerek dijital öğrenme ortamlarına ve uygulamalarına ilişkin bir anlama çerçevesi oluşturulacak ve konu sistematize edilmiş olacaktır.

EDUCATION IN DIGITAL AGE: AN ANALYSIS ON OPPORTUNITIES AND APPLICATIONS

Abstract

This study focuses on the possibilities and practices for education in the digital age by addressing developments in education. The main theme of the study is digital applications in education. Purpose of the study is to evaluate the opportunities in education in the digital age and to analyze the outcomes and results of the practice. The paper is a descriptive study and aims to present an original scope and content. There is a multifaceted and in-depth change and transformation in education that can be called digital revolution. The internet revolution, the spread of PC ownership and some other factors cause “digital revolution” in education as well as in many areas. In the light of this theoretical background, this paper will try to give systematic integrity to the subject by focusing on best digital application in education. In this context, new applications are examined and a framework for understanding digital learning environment and applications will be composed.
