Oral ve maksillofasiyal radyoloji uzmanlığında ultrason eğitimi

Abstract

Amaç: Türkiye’de diş hekimliği eğitiminde ultrason, son
yıllarda büyük bir büyüme göstermiştir, ancak ultrason teknolojisi uzun
yıllardır kullanılmaktadır ve ses daha uzun bir bilimsel tarihe sahiptir.
Vücudumuzu ve baş boyun bölgesini anlamak için ses ve ultrason kullanma, diş
hekimliğinde önemli bir rol oynayacaktır. Bu çalışmada uzmanlık öğrencileri
arasında ultrason kullanımının mevcut durumu ve gelişimi ölçülmüştür.

Gereç ve Yöntemler: On kişilik uzmanlık öğrencisi grubu için beş kademeden oluşan bir ultrason
eğitim programı düzenlendi. Program tanıtımından sonra yirmi soruluk bir test
ve eğitimden sonra yirmi soruluk modifiye bir test uygulandı. Uygulanan
testlerin sonuçları istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı.

Bulgular: Ultrason laboratuvar çalışması öncesi ve sonrası teste toplamda 10 adet
diş hekimliği uzmanlık öğrencisi katıldı. İlk test sonuçlarına bakıldığında
ortalama 40 puan iken eğitim sonrası yapılan ikinci testte ortalama 80‘e
çıkmıştır. Bu sayısal artış istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildiğinde Paired
Samples t-testine göre test başarısı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde
artmıştır. (p<0.001)

Sonuç: Mevcut çalışmanın sonuçları, ultrasonun diş hekimliği uzmanlık
eğitimine entegre edilebileceğini gösterdi. Uzmanlık öğrencilerine yapılan test
yanıtları, ultrasonografi laboratuvar egzersizini değerli bir öğrenme aracı
olarak gördüklerini, çünkü çene-yüz anatomisini daha iyi anlamayı sağladığını
göstermiştir. Bu tarz kademeli eğitimlerin kolay bir öğrenme metodu olduğu ve
etkin bir yöntem olduğu görüldü.
