The Determination by Different Methods of Leaf Surface Area

Abstract

In this study, leafs of vine, bean and plane which have non geometric shapes were used as a material. To determination the leaf surface area was used three different measurement methods one of which was developed in our department workshop. It works according to air flow system. Other measurement methods were based on the weighting and planimeter. During the experiments, for each of methods was determinated the measurement time. This values varied between 30 to 220 second. In addition, for each variety leaf was calculated coefficient of leaf area and also were found varying between 0.360 to 0.602.
