Determination of Specific Energy Consumption on Drilling of Deep Well

Abstract

In this study, specific energy consumption of home made deep well drilling machines' working by rotary method to supply irrigation water in the condition of middle Anatolia region were determined. The Average drilling velocity and specific energy consumption were found as 3.84 ± 0.17 mh¹ and 1767.4 ± 31.7 MJ m¹ respectively. The specific energy consumption inculuded machine manufacturing energy of 69.1%, fuel energy of 16.7%, materials transporting energy of 13.7% and labour energy of 0.5%.
