• Special issue announcement can be made once a year in line with the request of the Editorial Board of our journal.
• The publication date of the special issue will be determined by the decision of the Editorial Board.
• The evaluation process for articles submitted for the special issue cannot take less than six months.
• A different editorial team, other than the one assigned to the regular issues, can be formed by the Editorial Board for special issues.
• The language of publication for special issues will be determined by the Editorial Board.
• The Ethics Policy, Financial Policy, Archiving Policy, Plagiarism Policy, and Peer Review Policy for special issues are the same as those determined by the Şırnak University Faculty of Theology Journal for its regular issues.
• The article submission dates for the special issue will be determined by the Journal’s Editorial Board.
• The evaluation process for special issues is as follows:
1. Article Submission and Application:
o Authors must submit their articles in accordance with the journal's general writing guidelines and the specific theme of the special issue.
o The article submission must be made within the dates set by the Editorial Board.
2. Initial Evaluation:
o Submitted articles are initially evaluated by the Editorial Board and the editorial team. In this process, the article’s compatibility with the scope and quality of the journal is assessed.
o Articles that are not accepted will be communicated to the authors with a reasoned explanation.
3. Peer Review Evaluation:
o Accepted manuscripts are evaluated by two or more referees who are experts in their fields within the scope of double blind review. The reviewers examine the scientific validity, originality and compliance with ethical rules.
o Based on the reviewers' feedback, the article is either accepted, or revisions are requested. The necessary revisions are communicated to the authors.
4. Author's Revision Process:
o Authors revise their articles according to the reviewers' suggestions and comments. The revised article is re-evaluated by the editorial team and reviewers.
o Authors are expected to submit the changes made to the reviewers for their review.
5. Final Evaluation and Acceptance:
o The revised article is re-examined by the reviewers and editorial team for final evaluation.
o Accepted articles are prepared for publication in the special issue of the journal.
6. Publication Decision:
o Based on the reviewers' and editorial team's recommendations, the final publication decision is made.
o The publication decision undergoes a final check for compliance with the journal’s ethical and scientific standards.
7. Publication and Announcement:
o Accepted articles are published in the special issue according to the publication date determined by the Editorial Board.
o The journal announces the publication date and content of the special issue.
This process is carried out meticulously within the framework of the journal’s ethical, financial, and other policies specific to special issues.
