She born in Samsun, in 1989. She graduated from Samsun High School in 2005 and from Adnan Menderes University, Department of Philosophy in 2010. She worked as a Psychology teacher at the schools of the Ministry of National Education between 2010-2014. Then, she won a scholarship in 2014 and completed her language education. She took a language course in Cambridge in 2016, and continued to study postgraduate programs. She studied Philosophy MA at Sussex University in the UK, in 2017. Afterwards, she got her doctorate in the History of Philosophy at the same university. In her PhD, she wrote a thesis on discursive bodies and the future of gender. Her areas of interest are body theories in the history of philosophy, feminist philosophy, gender and power relations, othering and social extensions, 20th century French Philosophy, Turkish Philosophy in Anatolia, and recently Ancient Roman Philosophy through the Latin texts and archives.

Dr. Yahyahan Aras is an Assistant Professor at Barry University. He holds a B.A. in Counseling Psychology and Guidance from Selcuk University (Turkey), an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Dr. Aras has worked with K-12 students in both Turkey and the U.S., as well as with student-athletes and nursing students in college settings.

His research interests include the social justice identity development of counselors, counseling for immigrants and refugees, mentoring in counselor education, and support for international students. He has published numerous articles on these topics in top-tier counseling journals and has presented his work at state and national conferences.

1987 Cizre’de doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise eğitimini Cizre’de tamamladı. Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Sosyoloji bölümünden lisansını bitirdi (2011). Yine Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesinde Din Sosyolojisi Bilim Dalından yüksek lisansını tamamladı (2014). Doktorasını 2022 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Din Sosyolojisi Bilim Dalında yaptı. Akademik hayatına Cizre Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğretim görevlisi olarak başlamıştır. Şu anda Şırnak Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi, Din Sosyolojisi Bilim Dalı’nda Dr. Öğr. Üyesi kadrosunda görevine devam etmektedir.

1992 yılında Samsun ili 19 Mayıs ilçesinde doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini Samsun 19 Mayıs’ta tamamladı. 2014 yılında Erzincan Binali Yıldırım Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 2015 yılında Öğretim Üyesi Yetiştirme Projesi (ÖYP) kapsamında Bitlis Eren Üniversitesi İslami İlimler Fakültesi Tasavvuf Anabilim Dalı’na Araştırma Görevlisi olarak atandı. ÖYP kapsamında 6 ay süre ile Yalova Üniversitesi’nde Arapça eğitimi aldı. Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi’nde Tasavvuf alanında Prof. Dr. Ferzende İDİZ danışmanlığında hazırlanan “Tasavvufî Düşüncede Fenâ Kavramı” adlı teziyle yüksek lisans eğitimini (2019); “Hint Alt Kıtası Sûfîlerinden Şeyh Muhammed Gavs ve Tasavvufî Görüşleri” adlı çalışmasıyla da doktora programını (2024) tamamladı. 14.02.2025 tarihinden itibaren Bitlis Eren Üniversitesi'nde Dr. Öğretim Üyesi olarak çalışmaya devam etmektedir. Evli ve bir çocuk babasıdır.
