STAGES FOR ARTICLE REVIEW

1. Drafts sent to the journal are first pre-checked by the editor.
2. The editor assigns the drafts to the field editors by considering their academic specialties according to their subjects. Field editors report their opinions to the editor.
3. For journal articles containing statistical analysis, the opinion of the Statistics Editor of the Journal is sought; necessary corrections can be requested from the authors.
4. On the basis of the readings of the editor and field editors and taking the opinions of the editorial board under necessary conditions, it is decided whether a draft will be accepted into the referee evaluation process.
5. An article accepted in the peer-review process is sent to 2 referees from different institutions based on the statements in YÖK Academic. In case of disagreement in the final decisions of the referees, it can be sent to a 3rd referee or the editor may make the final decision. The arbitration process is operated in a double-blind manner. Referees are expected to submit their reports within 4 weeks at the latest.
6. When the referee reports are completed, the referee reports are presented to the author with their annexes.
7. In case of rejection from both referees, the author is notified of the rejection decision with the reason and the referee's report and its annexes, and the process ends.
8. In minor and major revision decisions, the author is requested to upload the revised article with corrections to the system within 3 weeks at the latest.
9. Corrections in the revised article are first checked by the editor, in cases where it is understood that the corrections have not been made, it is sent back to the author and corrections are requested within 1 week. When the referee corrections are met, the article is subjected to editorial control for the last time in terms of scientific consistency and integrity. At this stage, the editor may request corrections from the author.
10. The article is sent to the referees who want to see the revised article, and the status of the article is decided on the basis of the current referee reports.
11. The accepted article goes into the layout process.
12. In all phases of article evaluation and publication, the editor takes the opinions of the English and Turkish language editors of the journal if it is necessary, and the necessary arrangements can be requested from the authors on this basis.
