AİLE MAHKEMELERİNDE BOŞANAN BİREYLERİN BOŞANMA SONRASI YAŞAMA UYUMLARINA İLİŞKİN BİR İNCELEME

Abstract

Evlilik her ne kadar insanlık tarihinde uzun bir geçmişe dayanan ve yaygın bir ilişki biçimi olsa da çeşitli toplumsal değişimler sonucunda evlenmelerin boşanma ile sonuçlanma oranında artış gözlenmektedir. Boşanma, yeniden uyum sağlamayı gerektiren bir kriz durumudur. Yurtdışında boşanma sonrası yaşama uyuma çeşitli kuramsal açıklamalar getirilmiş ve çeşitli araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Türkiye’de boşanma sonrası yaşama uyuma ilişkin sınırlı sayıda çalışmaya rastlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Türk toplumunda boşanma sonrası yaşama uyumu açıklayan değişkenlerin neler olduğunun belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Boşanma sonrası yaşama uyumu açıklayan değişkenlerin belirlenmesinin, boşanan bireylerin daha sağlıklı bir boşanma süreci geçirmelerine yönelik önleyici aile mahkemesi uygulamalarına kaynak sağlayabileceği düşünülmüştür. 504 boşanmış bireyin katıldığı çalışmada Fisher Boşanma Sonrası Yaşama Uyum Ölçeği, araştıma kapsamında geliştirilen Boşanma Hakkında Yerleşik İnançlar Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Çoklu doğrusal adımsal regresyon analizi bulgularına göre; boşanma hakkında yerleşik inançlar, sosyal etkinliklere katılma, boşanma kararını isabetli bulma, cinsiyet, arkadaş desteği, boşanmanın üzerinden geçen süre değişkenlerinin boşanma sonrası yaşama uyumu anlamlı olarak açıkladığı görülmüştür. Elde edilen bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve yorumlanmış, boşanma sürecinde alınabilecek mahkeme temelli psiko-eğitsel programlar, danışmanlık tedbirleri ve sosyal inceleme raporları konularında öneriler sunulmuştur.

A Review on Post Divorce Adjustment of Divorcing Individuals at Family Courts

Abstract

Although marriage is a widespread form of relationship which has a long history, as a result of various social changes, divorce rate of marriages has been increasing. Divorce is a crisis situation that requires re-adaptation. In other countries, various theorotical explanations and researches have been made about post-divorce adjustment. In Turkey, there were a limited number of research regarding post-divorce adjustment. In this study, it is aimed to determine the predictors of post-divorce adjustment in a Turkish population. It has been thought that determining the variables predicting post-divorce adjustment can provide resources for preventive family court practices for divorced individuals to have a healthier divorce process. With participation of 504 divorcees in this study, Fisher Divorce Adjustment Scale, Divorce Beliefs Scale, which was developed in this study, and Personel Information Form was used.According to multiple lineer stepwise regression analysis findings; it was found that variables such as divorce beliefs, social activity participation, finding divorce desicion accurate, gender, having friendship support, time since divorce are predicting post-divorce adjustment significiantly. The findings were discuused in the light of literature and recommendations regarding court-based psycho-education programes, measures and social assessment reports were made.
