Zor Velilerle Baş Etme Stratejilerine İlişkin Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Görüşleri

Abstract



Bu çalışmada, ilkokullarda
görev yapmakta olan sınıf öğretmenlerinin zor veliler ile baş etme
stratejilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Çalışmada nitel
araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Örneklem türü
olarak amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi seçilmiştir. Çalışma grubunu İstanbul’daki
ilkokullarda görev yapmakta olan 20 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama
aracı olarak görüşmeden yararlanılmış ve bu doğrultuda yarı yapılandırılmış
görüşme formu hazırlanmıştır. Yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik
analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre zor velilerin çok
farklı özelliklere sahip oldukları ve bu durumun öğretmenleri oldukça sıkıntıya
soktuğu görülmektedir. Velilerin kızmasına veya üzülmesine etki eden en önemli
faktör çocuklarının maruz kaldığı olumsuzluklardır. Zor veliler karşısında
doğru stratejileri kullanabilen öğretmenlerin, yaşadıkları
sorunlar karşısında daha kendinden emin, güvenli, etkili ve verimli hareket
edebilecekleri ileri sürülebilir. Bu nedenle öğretmenlerin zor velilerle
çalışma yöntemleri üzerine kendilerini geliştirmeleri önerilebilir.
