Guidelines for submitting articles

The Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Natural Sciences is experiencing an intense application process, and many articles that have passed the review stage or are in the review process are waiting in line to be published in future issues.
Due to the publication principle of the journal, the preliminary review process of a new article is completed as soon as possible.
It is important that our authors upload the requested files correctly during the article upload process.

When uploading articles to the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, the following points should be considered:
1. Before uploading your article, make sure that you have read and applied all the articles of the editorial guidelines. Make sure that all of the required documents in the publication guidelines are uploaded to the system during the application.
2. Prepare your article using the Article Template. Make sure that the features specified in the template are preserved. After placing your article in the template, delete only the orange notes. (If your article is accepted, it will be published as submitted. Therefore, it is mandatory and important to follow the template.
3. The full text of your article without the author's name must be in Word file format. Please make sure that the naming (and text content) of the anonymous Word file you upload to the system does not contain any name, surname, or any other designation that may be associated with the author. (When uploading anonymous article files to the DergiPark system, the file name should be "Full Text_Anonymous").
4. The full text of your article should be in Word file format. In the relevant sections of the article text, the names of the authors and other necessary information about the author should be included (When uploading named article files to the DergiPark system, the file name should be "Full Text_Named").
5. When uploading the letter of application, make sure that the article title, author names, contact information of the authors (e-mail, telephone, place of duty) and ORCID information are included (the file name should be "letter of application" when uploading to the DergiPark system).
6. When uploading the Copyright Transfer Form, make sure that the information and signatures of the author(s) are included in the form. (When uploading to the DergiPark system, the file name should be "Copyright Transfer Form").
7. During the application, the Ethics Committee Permission Document must be uploaded to the system. In cases where Ethics Committee Permission is not required, authors should upload a document explaining the reason for this. The institution, date, and number of the decision of the Ethics Committee should be indicated in the method section of the article. If there is no need for Ethics Committee Permission, the justification should be explained in the method section. Institutional or individual application permissions obtained for research do not replace Ethics Committee Permission. (When uploading to the DergiPark system, the file name should be "Ethics Committee Permission").

Also:
- If a revision is requested, edit both the NAMED and UNNAMED texts and upload them as a new revised version over the previous files. Do not create separate additional files.
- If revisions are requested, please indicate the revisions you have made and the suggestions of the referees that you could not fulfill in the Referee Correction Sheet. Upload this file as an additional file at the revision stage.
- If revisions are requested, be sure to update the Article Metadata section on the DergiPark page after each revision. It is the author's responsibility to update the information here and to ensure that the article is in its final form.
- You can get help from the contact section on the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Natural Sciences website regarding the problems you may encounter or errors made during article uploading.
- Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Natural Sciences receives a large number of articles, and there are many articles in both the evaluation and publication stages. Please be aware that the evaluation and publication process may take time.
- The reasons for the rejection of the manuscripts in the preliminary review are explained in the Publication Principles and Purpose and Scope pages of the Turkish Journal of Agricultural and Natural Sciences.
The stage of the article is presented to the responsible authors as "Status" information in DergiPark. It is necessary to follow the process from the DergiPark system and to contact DergiPark's message section when necessary.
Articles in the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Natural Sciences are evaluated by a blind referee system.
