PASSION SIMPLE ANLATISINDA KADIN BEDENİNİN YAZINSAL İFADESİ

Abstract

Yüzyıllardır sosyal, ekonomik, kültürel ve siyasi hayatta ötekileştirilen kadınların yazıda da dışlanmasına tepki olarak 1970’lerde, özellikle Fransa’da edebi feminizmin bir parçası olarak “dişil yazın” (fr. écriture féminine) ortaya çıkmıştır. Egemen “eril” yazının kalıplarını sorgulayan dişil yazın, Hélène Cixous’nun Le rire de la Méduse (1976) adlı makalesinde adını duyurmuş, Luce Irigaray ve Julia Kristeva da bu fikrin geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunmuştur. Uzun süredir sessizleştirilmiş kadın deneyimlerini görünür kılmayı amaçlayan bu yazın türü, ataerkil dili yapıbozuma uğratır; biçimsel ve duygusal özgürlüğü savunur. Bu bağlamda, çağdaş Fransız edebiyatında otobiyografik anlatılarıyla tanınan Annie Ernaux’nun, evli bir adamla yaşadığı romantik ve cinsel ilişkiyi anlattığı Passion simple (1992) adlı anlatısı dişil yazının önemli bir örneği olarak görülmektedir. Kadın yazarlar tarafından nadiren açıkça değinilen arzuları, özlemleri ve bağımlılıkları cesurca yazıya döken Ernaux, böylelikle kadın bedenini erkek bakışının bir nesnesi olmaktan çıkararak özne konumuna yerleştirir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Cixous’un “Kendini yaz: Bedenin duyulmalı” düşüncesinden hareketle Ernaux’nun Passion simple eserindeki kadın bedeninin yazınsal ifadesini irdelemektir.

THE LITERARY EXPRESSION OF THE FEMALE BODY IN SIMPLE PASSION

Abstract

In response to the exclusion of women marginalized for centuries within the social, economic, cultural, and political spheres, as well as sidelined in the domain of literary production “feminine writing” (fr. écriture féminine) emerged in the 1970s, particularly in France, as a constituent strand of literary feminism. Challenging the norms of dominant “masculine” writing, feminine writing gained prominence with Hélène Cixous’s essay Le rire de la Méduse (1976), while Luce Irigaray and Julia Kristeva also contributed significantly to the development of this theoretical framework. Aiming to render visible long-silenced female experiences, this form of writing deconstructs patriarchal language and advocates for both formal and emotional freedom. In this context, Passion simple (1992), a narrative in which Annie Ernaux, a major figure in contemporary French literature known for her autobiographical writing, recounts her romantic and sexual relationship with a married man, is regarded as an important example of women’s writing. By articulating with remarkable candor desires, absences, and forms of dependency that are rarely expressed openly by women writers, Ernaux transforms the female body from an object of the male gaze into a genuine subject of enunciation. Drawing on Cixous’s assertion, “Write yourself: your body must be heard,” this study aims to examine the literary representation of the female body in Simple Passion.
