Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the relationships among employees’ organizational socialization perceptions, fear for and joy of sharing knowledge, and knowledge sharing behaviors. In the survey, data were collected in person through question forms from 117 employees of a municipality in a Turkish province. Then the data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 software. The results state that as organizational socialization increases knowledge sharing behavior increases too. Moreover, knowledge sharing behavior increases with the increase in the joy of sharing. Organizational socialization was found to have no statistically significant relationship with joy of sharing; but contrary to expectations, it was found to have a positive relationship with fear for sharing knowledge. Fear for sharing knowledge was found to have no statistically significant relationship with sharing behavior.
