Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that are sent to the Uludag Bee Journal are checked for journal formatting requirements and evaluated by the statistical, technical editor, and the language editor. Suitable manuscripts are sent to three reviewers in the field for evaluation and then returned to the corresponding author for their consideration. Authors can either make necessary changes or withdraw their manuscripts. A double-blind peer review system is used to evaluate manuscripts. A manuscript that requires major revision is sent back to the reviewers for approval after revision. A final decision about the submitted manuscript is made according to reviewers’ suggestions, bearing in mind that the majority opinion will carry more weight when determining the final decision. The referee may reject the manuscript if the suggested corrections are not made sufficiently, or if the author fails to make the necessary corrections within the given time extension, the manuscript will be rejected. In addition, if one of our editors or one of the article referees states with evidence that the article is copyrighted, plagiarized, or scientifically inconvenient to publish, the article is requested to be corrected or rejected.

Accepted manuscripts after revision are still subjected to revision by the Editor-in-Chief. The suggestions provided should be considered by the corresponding author in order to produce a final version of the manuscripts. Finally, the Editor-in-Chief will read the manuscript and finalize it. Then, after making formatting and page layout changes, the manuscript is returned to the corresponding author for a final review and subsequent publication. Accepted manuscripts are not allowed to be withdrawn.

Reviewers are requested to review the manuscripts in detail and objectively. After each article, the performance of the reviewers is evaluated using the ready form. At the end of the year, some reviewers will be removed from the list, and new reviewers may be added based on these evaluations. If needed, new successful reviewers will be added, and insufficient reviewers will be deleted from the referee pool. Proficient reviewers who operate above average will continue to serve in the journal's reviewer pool.

Important Note: Since the author-reviewer information is kept confidential on both sides in our Journal, both the author and the reviewer must upload the document to the system after removing their personal information in the review document section. Authors should state that AI has not been used to prepare the manuscript, except for the references.
