Author Guidelines

Author's Duties and Responsibilities

Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the concept, design, execution, or interpretation of the work. All individuals who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If there are minor contributors to the work, such as language editing, these should be noted in the acknowledgments section. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the article and agreed to its submission for publication. Authors are expected to carefully review and confirm the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript, and to provide the definitive list of authors at the time of original submission. The editor will consider requests to add, delete, or rearrange the authors only in exceptional circumstances after the manuscript has been submitted. All authors should agree to any such addition, deletion, or rearrangement. Authors share collective responsibility for the work.

Requests for Changes in Authorship
Changes to the author list, including the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names, can only be made before the manuscript is accepted and must be approved by the journal Editor. If such a request is made, the Editor will require (a) a written explanation from the corresponding author for the reason for the change and (b) written confirmation (e-mail) from all authors that they agree to the addition, deletion, or rearrangement. The Editor will only consider requests to add, delete, or rearrange authors in exceptional circumstances after the manuscript has been accepted.

Article Writing
Authors of original research papers should address the topic in an authentic way and with an objective discussion. The article should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to reproduce the work. Fraudulent or knowingly false statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality
Authors must guarantee that the article is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere in another language.

Use of Original Sources and Citation
Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works and, if they have used the works and/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited. Information obtained privately, such as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, should not be used without the clear written permission of the source.

Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide research data supporting their articles for editorial review and/or to comply with the journal's open data requirements. Authors should be prepared to provide such data for public access and to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication. Our journal recommends that research data be uploaded to TUBITAK's Aperta Portal. https://aperta.ulakbim.gov.tr/

Multiple and Simultaneous Publications
An author should not publish an article containing the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same article to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical behavior. An author should not submit a previously published article for consideration in another journal, unless it has been published as an abstract.

Publication of Studies Based on Survey and Interview
For research that requires ethics committee permission and conducted in all disciplines, ethics committee approval should be obtained, and this approval should be mentioned and documented in the article. In research requiring ethics committee approval, information about the approval (committee name, date, and number) should be included in the methodology section and on one of the first/last pages of the article. In case reports, the article should include information about the signing of the informed consent form.

Conflict of Interest
Conflict of interest refers to any financial or other interests that could potentially cause a person to be conflicted or bias their objectivity or provide an unfair advantage to any individual or organization. All sources of financial support received during the research and writing process, and the role of sponsors should be disclosed. If there is no funding source, this should also be indicated. Examples of potential conflicts of interest that need to be disclosed include consulting, salaries, and grants. Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed at the earliest possible stage.

Error Reporting
When an author notices a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her published work, he/she should immediately report it to the journal. It is also the author's obligation to cooperate in retracting or correcting the article if deemed necessary by the editor. If the editor or publisher learns that a published work contains an error from a third party, it is also the author's obligation to cooperate and provide information to the editor.

Image Integrity
Enhancing, obscuring, moving, removing, or adding a specific feature to/in an image is unacceptable. Authors should comply with the policy set by the journal for graphical images.

Citation Style
Articles must be prepared according to the İSNAD Citation System (Second Edition with Footnotes). https://www.isnadsistemi.org/
