This guideline has been prepared for the authors submitting articles to Usbad International Academy of Social Sciences Journal to explain the process and the way to follow.

1. If you are not a member, become a member of DergiPark.

2. Scroll down the main page of Usbad International Academy of Social Sciences Journal, download the template in ‘Word’ format under the title of ‘Article Template’ in the lower left corner (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/usbad). Prepare your article file by editing your article according to this template.

3. Scroll down the main page of Usbad International Journal of Social Sciences Academy, download the ‘Word’ file under the heading ‘Copyright Agreement’ in the lower left corner (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/usbad). Prepare the Copyright Agreement file by reading, filling and signing.

4. Scroll down the main page of Usbad International Journal of Social Sciences Academy, download the ‘Word’ file under the heading ‘Ethics Statement Form’ in the lower left corner (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/usbad). Prepare the Ethics Declaration Form file by reading, filling and signing.

5. Click on the ‘SUBMIT ARTICLE’ link from the main page of Usbad International Academy of Social Sciences Journal (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/usbad). Upload the article file and the Copyright Agreement file you have previously prepared (items 2 and 3) to the system by following the instructions.

6. The article uploaded to the system is subjected to editorial evaluation as soon as possible. This evaluation covers three stages:

a. Evaluation of the article in terms of format: At this stage, it is checked whether Usbad International Academy of Social Sciences Journal's writing guide, writing principles and referencing formats are followed.
b. Checking whether the ‘abstract’ and keywords of the article written in Turkish, English (or any other language) are appropriate for the article.
c. Evaluation of the plagiarism rate.

7. If there is a deficiency or non-conformity in these three processes, the article is rejected. The rejection process here indicates that the deficiencies should be eliminated. In this case, correction is requested. If the article is unpublishable, the author will be notified with the title ‘your article has been rejected’.

8. The pricing process is initiated for the article whose preliminary evaluation process is completed. The process information is sent to the author via the e-mail used when uploading the article.

9. The article, which has passed the preliminary evaluation and the fee has been paid, is sent to the two referees who will evaluate the article after the elements that will show the identity of the author and the article are removed. At this stage, it is not possible to provide any information flow between the referee and the author, since only the article free of author information is sent to the referees.

10. Book reviews submitted to the journal can be published either through refereeing or only through editorial evaluation. At the end of the process, an electronic notification is sent to the author about whether the manuscript is in the publication queue or not.

11. Referees have 15 (fifteen) days to evaluate the manuscript sent to them and present their proposals, if any.

12. Any of the referees may submit a positive report, a negative report or a correction report about the manuscript. When a negative report is submitted, the manuscript will be sent to the third and final referee within 48 hours at the latest. Positive or negative referee reports will be sent to the author via the system.

13. If the referee requests corrections, this will be notified to the author electronically and no further notification will be made. After making the corrections requested by the referee, the author uploads the article to the system again. Re-uploading is not done in the form of submitting a new article. When the orange ‘Submit File’ link on the right of the dialogue box requesting correction is clicked, a place will open where the author can correct and upload his/her article. If the referee has selected the ‘I want to see’ option for this re-uploaded article, the article is sent to the referee and the referee can review it again and give a positive or negative report.

14. The second referee assigned to the article through the system can also request a positive report, negative report or correction report. If the second referee requests corrections, the corrections requested by the referee are not made on a new document, but on a single file including the corrections requested by the first referee.

15. Corrections requested by the editor or referees may include ‘abstract’ and ‘abstract’ sections.

16. Manuscripts that receive a favourable report or whose corrections are approved are placed in the publication queue. Manuscripts that are placed in the publication queue and typeset for publication in the journal are arranged alphabetically according to the order of uploading to the system or according to the surname of the author. In addition, articles are categorised as articles, bibliographies, new discoveries and book reviews.

17. Usbad International Journal of Academy of Social Sciences is published 4 times a year: March, June, September and December. Announcements such as calls for articles, deadlines for submission of articles, etc. are published on the journal's website and sent to members by e-mail.

18. Regardless of the nature of the article, each author must submit ORCID information to the journal secretariat. The article of the author without ORCID or researcherid information associated with it will not be published in the journal.

19. Usbad International Journal of Academy of Social Sciences is a journal published in electronic environment, which carries out all the processes of acceptance, evaluation, publication of the article and communication with the author at these stages in electronic environment. For this reason, it is important that the e-mail addresses that the authors will upload to the system are valid and correct. However, all e-mail addresses, usually addresses with the extension ‘edu.tr’, occasionally experience problems in receiving the incoming message or the mails fall into the ‘spam’ or ‘trash’ box. The responsibility for this situation belongs to the author.
