KONSERVATUVARLARDA VERİLEN ŞAN EĞİTİMİNDE VOKOLOJİ DERSİNİN YER ALMASINA İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLER

Öz

Araştırmada, konservatuvarlarda şan eğitimi alan öğrencilere vokoloji dersinin verilmesine yönelik öğretim elemanı görüşleri alınmıştır. Çalışma betimsel tarama modeline göre desenlenmiş olup, araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Türkiye’deki Devlet Konservatuvarları Sahne Sanatları Opera Ana Sanat Dalı öğretim elemanları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada 11 soruluk anket formu kullanılmış, veriler betimsel analiz tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular iki ana tema ve her bir temanın altında da alt temalar şeklinde sunulmuştur. Öğretim elemanlarının vokolojinin ders olarak verilmesine dair düşüncelerinin ele alındığı birinci alt temada, dersin alan uzmanı tarafından verilmesi gerektiği; bunun yanı sıra dersin şan eğitmeni eşliğinde yürütülebileceği ya da aktarılan bilgilerin şan eğitmeni tarafından desteklenmesi gerektiği yönündeki görüşlere yer verilmiştir. İkinci alt temada katılımcılar, vokoloji dersinin hem tüm öğrencilere hem de ses sorunu yaşayan öğrencilere verilmesi gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Üçüncü alt temada vokoloji dersinin lisans programının hazırlık sınıfında ya da lisans 1 düzeyinde yani verilebilecek en erken zamanda verilmesi gerektiği ifade edilmiştir. Aynı alt temada katılımcılar bu dersin haftada bir ya da iki saat verilmesi gerektiğini de ifade etmişlerdir. Dördüncü alt temada öğretim elemanları, konservatuvarlarda sesin fizyolojisi, anatomisi, ses hastalıkları ve korunma yöntemleri ile ilişkili temelde aynı olan, ancak farklı isimler ve içeriklerle verilen derslerin vokoloji dersi adı altında verilmesiyle ilgili büyük ölçüde olumlu ifadelerde bulunmuşlardır. İkinci temada vokolojinin bir ders kapsamında müfredata eklenmesinin öğretim elemanı ve öğrencilere katkıları; ses sağlığı ve korunması, eğitim sürecinde verimin artması, öğrencilerin sesin anatomi ve fizyolojisi konularında bilgi sahibi olmaları, kullandıkları enstrümanı tanımaları, soyut olguların somutlaştırılması, seslerini bilinçli kullanmaları, bilimsel bilgi edinmeleri, bilimsel farkındalık sayesinde eğitmenin yükünün hafiflemesi, solunum ve postürle ilgili farkındalık sağlanması şeklinde alt temalar altında ele alınmış ve önemli sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.

OPINIONS ON THE INCLUSION OF VOCOLOGY COURSES IN VOCAL TRAINING AT CONSERVATORIES

Abstract

The study gathered the opinions from faculty members regarding the inclusion of vocology courses for students receiving vocal training at conservatories. The study was designed according to a descriptive survey model, and the research group consisted of teaching staff from the Opera Department of Performing Arts at State Conservatories in Turkey. An 11-question interview form was used in the study, and the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The findings are presented in two main themes, each with sub-themes. The sub-theme related to the first theme, which covers the teaching staff's thoughts on teaching vocalology as a course, includes the views that the course should be taught by a specialist in the field, that it could be conducted with the assistance of a voice teacher, or that the voice teacher should support the information provided. In the second sub-theme, participants stated that the vocology course should be taught to all students as well as students with voice problems. The third sub-theme expressed that the vocology course should be taught in the preparatory class of the undergraduate program or at the undergraduate level 1, i.e., as early as possible. In the same sub-theme, participants also stated that this course should be taught for 1 or 2 hours per week. In the fourth sub-theme, faculty members expressed largely positive views regarding the teaching of courses that are fundamentally the same in terms of the physiology and anatomy of the voice, voice disorders, and prevention methods, but are given different names and content, under the name of the Vocal Science course. The second theme addressed the contributions of adding vocology to the curriculum as a course to teaching staff and students: voice health and protection, increased efficiency in the education process, students' knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the voice, understanding the instruments they use, concretization of abstract concepts, conscious useage of their voices, acquisition of scientific knowledge, reduction of the instructor's workload through scientific awareness, and awareness of breathing and posture.
