AVRUPA BÜTÜNLEŞME SÜRECİNDE YUNANİSTAN’IN BORÇ KRİZİ

Abstract

Just after Greece declared her debt crisis in October 2009, some doubtful expressions emerged about the destiny of the European Union project. On the other hand, cause and effect relationship between this debt crisis and the European integration process came forward as an important point of issue. On this ground, European Union authorities began to search for the most convenient integration path in order to prevent the reemergence of such crises. In this article, the debt crisis of Greece is evaluated within the perspective of European integration process. Accordingly, we assess whether the European integration process gave rise to the development of the crisis and we discuss what kind of reflections that crisis generated on the European integration process

Avrupa Bütünleşme Sürecinde Yunanistan’ın Borç Krizi

Öz

Yunanistan’ın 2009 yılı sonlarına doğru bir borç krizi içerisinde olduğunu ilan etmesi, Avrupa Birliği projesinin başarısı ile ilgili endişelerin yüksek sesle dile getirilmesine yol açmıştır. Diğer taraftan kriz ile bütünleşme süreci arasındaki neden sonuç ilişkisi önemli bir tartışma konusu olarak ön plana çıkmıştır. Bu tartışmalar arasında Avrupa Birliği otoriteleri benzer krizlerin yaşanmaması için gelecekte bütünleşme sürecinin nasıl bir yol izlemesi gerektiğini araştırmaya yönelmiştir. Bu makalede, Yunanistan’ın yaşadığı borç krizi Avrupa bütünleşme süreci açısından değerlendirilmektedir. Bu kapsamda Avrupa bütünleşmesinin kriz üzerinde bir rolünün olup olmadığı ve krizin bütünleşme sürecine yansımaları tartışılmaktadır
