Mixed Medullary-Follicular Carsinoma of the Thyroid: Two Case Reports

Abstract

Mixed medullary and follicular cell carcinoma MMFCC of the thyroid is rare, accounting for less than 5% of thyroid medullary carcinoma. Histologically, MMFCCs are tumours showing the morphological features of both, medullary carcinoma with immunoreactive calcitonin and follicular or papillary carcinomas with immunoreactive thyroglobuline. We present two case of mixed medullary and follicular cell carcinoma in which two thyroid carcinomas.

Mikst Medüller ve Folliküler Karsinom: İki Olgunun Sunumu

Abstract

Tiroidin miks medüller ve folliküler karsinomu nadir görülür, tiroid medüller karsinomlarının %5 ‘den azını oluşturur. Histolojik olarak, miks medüller ve folliküler karsinom, iki tümöründe morfolojik özelliklerini gösterir, medüller karsinom gibi immünreaktif kalsitonin, folliküler karsinom veya papiller gibi immünreaktif tiroglobulin içerir. Bu yazıda iki miks medüller ve foliküler tiroid karsinomlu olguyu sunuyoruz.
