Endodontide Organik ve İnorganik Doku Çözücüler Bir Arada Kullanılabilir mi?

Öz

Kök kanallarının yıkanması, endodontik triad olarak da bilinen, kök kanalı tedavisinin temelini oluşturan kavramın, en önemli aşamalarından biridir. Özellikle enfekte kök kanallarında, çeşitli anatomik zorluklar da göz önüne alındığında, yıkamanın önemi daha da artmaktadır. Kök kanallarının yıkanmasında belirli protokoller kabul edilmektedir. Günümüzde endodontik tedavilerde en sık kullanılan solüsyon organik doku çözücü olan sodyum hipoklorittir (NaOCl). Endodontik tedavilerde daha başarılı sonuçlar alabilmek amacıyla organik ve inorganik doku çözücü solüsyonların bir arada kullanımı yaygın olarak kabul görmektedir. Fakat bu solüsyonların bir arada kullanımı, etki mekanizmalarının zayıflamasına veya çeşitli çökeltilerin oluşmasına sebep olabilmektedir. Bu durum araştırmacıları, organik ve inorganik doku çözücü solüsyonların, herhangi bir etki kaybı ve olumsuz bir reaksiyon görülmeksizin bir arada kullanımlarını sağlayacak bir formülasyon arayışına yöneltmiştir. Bu amaçla son yıllarda üretilen ve en çok kabul gören formülasyon Dual Rinse HEDP’dir. Bu derlemede, Dual Rinse HEDP’nin içeriği, üretilme amacı ve NaOCl ile birlikte kullanımının etki ve sonuçları anlatılmaktadır.
