Examination of influencing factors and the perceived emotional abuse of married women who referred to clinic of gynecology and obstetrics

Öz

OBJECTIVE: This research was conducted to determine the factors that influence and the perceived emotional abuse of women. METHODS: The universe of the descriptive study was composed of 197 married women selected by a random sampling method for the women who applied to a gynecology hospital, gynecology policlinic. In the study, “Personal Information Form” and “Emotional Abuse Perceived Scale” were used as data collection tools.RESULTS: The Emotional Abuse Perceived Scale for Women was rated as 151.79 ± 37.28. When the mean scores of the Perceived Emotional Abuse Scale were compared according to the socio demographic characteristics of the women, Emotional Abuse Perceived Scale averages are affected by the age of the woman, the educational status of the woman and her husband, the working status, the family type, the place of residence where she lived for a long time, the way of getting married and who the decision maker is in the family p0.05 .CONCLUSION: Comparing to the highest score that can be taken from scale and the assessment of Emotional Abuse Perceived Scale; women’s perception of emotional abuse is moderate. In addition, many socio-demographic features of the family and of women influence women’s perception of emotional abuse.

Kadın doğum polikliniğine başvuran evli kadınların algıladıkları duygusal istismar ve etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi

Öz

AMAÇ: Bu araştırma kadınların algıladıkları duygusal istismarı ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.YÖNTEM: Tanımlayıcı türde olan araştırmanın evrenini bir kadın doğum hastanesinin, kadın doğum polikliniğine başvuran kadınlar, örneklemi ise gelişigüzel örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 197 evli kadın oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır.BULGULAR: Araştırmaya katılan kadınların Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği Puan Ortalaması 151,79 ± 37,28 olarak belirlenmiştir. Kadınların sosyodemografik özelliklerine göre, Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği puan ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında; kadının yaşının, kadının kendisinin ve eşinin eğitim durumunun ve çalışma durumunun, aile tipinin, uzun süre yaşadığı yerleşim yerinin, evlenme biçiminin ve ailede kararları veren kişilerin Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği puan ortalamasını etkilediği p0,05 .SONUÇ: Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği değerlendirmesi ve ölçekten alınabilecek en yüksek puan göz önüne alındığında; kadınların duygusal istismar algısı orta düzeydedir. Ayrıca aileye ve kadına yönelik birçok sosyodemografik özellik kadınların duygusal istismar algısını etkilemektedir.
