Learning the culture of the target language is of great importance in acquiring a new language. Architectural features are one of the corner-stones of this culture. With the rapid advancement of technology, interdisciplinary studies in these fields have become increasingly important. This study examines the use of virtual reality (VR) applications in teaching Turkish architecture to foreigners. Within the scope of the re-search, the application named 3D Mekanlar was examined in depth using document analysis and descriptive analysis methods. The aim of the study is to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of virtual reality technologies in contributing to the language acquisition process of individuals learning Turkish as a foreign language and in increasing their cultural awareness. The research results reveal that virtual reality applications can be an important tool in foreign language education, especially in visually and culturally rich subjects such as architecture. Additionally, it was found that such applications support cultural learning by enabling language learners to better understand the cultural context. In conclusion, this study highlights the potential of virtual reality technologies in foreign language education and in creating cultural awareness.
