Öz

Bu çalışmada kırsal turizm ve Sosyal Değişim Teorisi alanında yazılmış makalelerin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Yapılan literatür taraması sonucu, Web of Science (Wos) veri tabanında yer alan sosyal değişim teorisi ve kırsal turizm anahtar kelimelerinin birlikte kullanıldığı çalışmalar incelenmeye alınmıştır. Literatür incelemesinde sosyal değişim teorisinin kırsal turizm faaliyetlerini, yerel halkın turizme karşı olan tutum ve davranışlarını anlamak için kullanıldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Web of Science (Wos) veri tabanından “social exchange theory”, “rural tourism”, social exchange theory and rural tourism” anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak toplamda 23 makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Bunların 11’i turizm ile ilgili olduğundan çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Yapılan çalışmaların sosyal değişim teorisi ve kırsal turizm üzerindeki etkilerinin neler olduğunu belirlemek amacıyla içerik analizi ile amaçları ve sonuçlarının neler olduğu üzerinde durulmuştur. Ulusal literatürde kırsal turizmin Sosyal Değişim Teorisi çerçevesinde incelendiği sınırlı sayıda makaleye rastlanılmıştır. Yapılan bu çalışma kavramların uluslararası literatürde nasıl incelendiğine bakılarak, ulusal yazına yeni çalışmalar kazandırılmasını amaçlamaktadır.

Bibliometric Analysis of Social Exchange Theory Studies in Tourism

Öz

This study aims to examine articles written in the field of rural tourism and Social Exchange Theory. As a result of the literature review, studies in which the keywords social exchange theory and rural tourism in the Web of Science (Wos) database were used together were examined. In the literature review, it was concluded that social exchange theory was used to understand rural tourism activities, attitudes and behaviors of local people towards tourism. A total of 23 articles were reached using the keywords “social exchange theory”, “rural tourism”, social exchange theory and rural tourism” from the Web of Science (Wos) database. 11 of these were included in the study because they were related to tourism. In order to determine the effects of the studies on social exchange theory and rural tourism, content analysis was conducted to determine their objectives and results. A limited number of articles were encountered in the national literature examining rural tourism within the framework of Social Exchange Theory. This study aims to provide new studies to the national literature by examining how the concepts are examined in the international literature.
