Acetaldehyde Formation During PET Bottle Production and The Importance of Acetaldehyde Migration in to the Foods

Öz

Acetaldehyde Formation During PET Bottle Production and The Importance of Acetaldehyde Migration in to the FoodsThe formation of acetaldehyde which is a thermal degradation product formed during processing of PET is inevitable during PET production. But it is possible to keep this formation in low levels by controlling the paratmetres in process. In this survey, acetaldehyde formation mechanisms during PET bottle production and the factors affecting this formation were discussed and also some knowledge about acetaldehyde migration in to the drinks packaged by these kind of bottles was given.

Öz

Asetaldehit, PET'in işlenmesi sırasında oluşan ısısal bir bozunma ürünüdür ve PET şişe üretimi sırasında asetaldehit oluşumu kaçınılmazdır. Ancak, üretim aşamalarındaki parametrelerin kontrol altında tutulmasıyla bu oluşumu düşük düzeylerde tutmak mümkündür. Bu çalışmada; PET şişe üretimi sırasında asetaldehit oluşum mekanizmaları ve bu oluşumu etkileyen faktörlerden söz edilmiş ve ayrıca asetaldehitin bu tür şişelere ambalajlanmış içeceklere migrasyonuna ilişkin bilgiler verilmiştir
