Halofit Salsola crassa’nın Tohum Çimlenmesi Üzerine Tuzluluk, Sıcaklık ve Işığın Etkileri

Öz

Halofit bitki türlerinde tohum çimlenmesi özellikle ışık, sıcaklık ve tuzluluk gibi çevresel faktörler
tarafından kontrol edilmektedir. Halofit Salsola crassa’nın tohum çimlenmesi üzerine tuzluluk, sıcaklık
ve ışık etkileşimlerine ilişkin herhangi bir literatür bulunmamaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu araştırmada S.
crassa’nın tohum çimlenmesi üzerine 9 tuz konsantrasyonu (0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 ve 800
mM NaCl), 6 sabit sıcaklık (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 ve 35C) ve fotoperiyodun (12 sa ışık: 12 sa karanlık ve
sürekli karanlık) etkileri araştırılmıştır. En yüksek çimlenme yüzdeleri (%98-99) distile suda, 20 ve 25C
sıcaklık uygulamaları ve 12 saatlik fotoperiyotta elde edilmiştir. Tuz konsantrasyonundaki artış özellikle
düşük ve yüksek sıcaklık uygulamalarında tohum çimlenmesinde belirgin bir azalışa neden olmuştur.
Düşük (10 ve 15C) ve yüksek (35C) sıcaklık uygulamaları hem kontrol hem de tuz uygulamalarında
tohum çimlenmesinde belirgin bir şekilde azalmaya neden olmuştur. Tüm sıcaklık uygulamalarında ve
özellikle tuz uygulamalarında ışık ve karanlık uygulamaları arasında önemli farklılıklar bulunmuştur (P <
0.05). Bu sonuçlar, S. crassa’da çimlenme evresi stres toleransının ışık, sıcaklık ve tuzluluk etkileşimleri
tarafından etkilendiğini göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte, 800 mM NaCl konsantrasyonunda
çimlenebilme yeteneğinden dolayı S. crassa’nın tuza oldukça toleranslı bir tür olduğu ileri sürülebilir.
