Dünyada
gelir eşitsizliğinin artması, büyüme, yaşam memnuniyeti, mutluluk ve gelişme
konuları açısından eşitliğin öneminin, tartışmaların temel konusu haline
gelmesine neden olmuştur. Eskiden mutluluk konusu sadece psikoloji bilimi

Deepening inequality has become the subject of intense debates,
particularly on growth, life satisfaction, happiness and development in world.
In the past, happiness was studied only under the conscience of psychology, but
recently it has begun to be associated with the economy. Income equality which
is a precondition for increasing the level of wealth lowers poverty and ensures
sustainable development.  And this study
aims to determine well-being and happiness indicators related to literature.
When Gini coefficient that is used to determine income inequality and happiness
index are examined in OECD countries, in generally happiness level is higher if
income inequality is low.
