Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. Can Zülfikar is a faculty member at the Disaster Management Institute of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Türkiye, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Institute and Director of the Structural Health Monitoring Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. from Okayama University, Japan, following his B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies in Civil and Earthquake Engineering in Türkiye.

His research focuses on earthquake engineering, seismic hazard and risk assessment, strong ground motion, structural health monitoring, rapid earthquake damage assessment, early warning systems, and disaster risk reduction and resilience. His recent research also addresses the integration of artificial intelligence, digital twins, and real-time monitoring technologies into earthquake and disaster risk management.

Dr. Zülfikar has participated in and coordinated numerous national and international research and consultancy projects and has published extensively in the fields of earthquake engineering, structural monitoring, seismic risk, and disaster resilience.

Dr. Ana M. Petrović is a Senior Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA, specializing in hydrology, soil erosion, and natural hazards. She graduated as the top student from the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, in 2007 and completed her master's degree in 2008. During her studies, she was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. In 2014, she earned a PhD in Biotechnical Sciences, focusing on torrential floods in Serbia. In 2015, she received the Outstanding Youth Paper Award from the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation. Her international research experience includes fellowships at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (Romania), the WWF Institute for Floodplain Ecology (Germany), and BOKU University (Austria). She has led and participated in multiple national and international scientific projects, including bilateral research with China and a Danube Region research initiative. Ana is the author of a nationally significant book and has published over 60 scientific papers, contributed to monographs, and delivered invited lectures at international scientific conferences. She has also served as an editor, reviewer, and member of scientific and organizing committees for various international scientific conferences. Since 2012, she has been the National Coordinator for the DBU Scholarship Program in Serbia.

Murat Emre Kartal is a civil engineer and also a structural engineering professor. His research area includes structural and earthquake engineering, structure-fluid-foundation interaction, dams, bridges, semi-rigid connections, reinforced concrete and steel structures, soil dynamics, biomechanics etc. He also formerly worked in department of biomedical engineering. Now, he is working at department of civil engineering in İzmir Democracy University as a chairperson and full time Professor.

Ramazan Cansoy is Associate Professor of Educational Administration in Karabuk University. His current research interests include school leadership effects, instructional leadership, and innovative schools, teacher professional development, instruction.

Prof. Dr Hilal Yıldırır Keser is a lecturer in the Department of International Trade and Logistics at Bursa Technical University. She completed her PhD in Economics at Uludağ University. Her research focuses on international logistics, foreign trade, e-export, sustainable development, economic geography and women’s economic empowerment, and she is involved in national and international projects.

Dr. Mehmet Zahid Ecevit, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Bursa Technical University (BTU), conducts his academic studies in the fundamental fields of commerce, management, tourism, and services, with a primary focus on the marketing discipline. His core areas of expertise include advertising, consumer behavior, customer relationship management, digital marketing, services marketing, and product and brand management.

Dr. Ecevit conducts his research in these focus areas predominantly within the framework of quantitative research methods and experimental designs. By utilizing current statistical data analysis techniques in his studies, he tests marketing theories through empirical findings and contributes to the literature.

Vladimir M. Cvetković is Full Professor of Disaster Risk Management at the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, Serbia, and Adjunct Professor at Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria. He also teaches in the International Master's Program in International Disaster Management and Civil Protection at the University of Vienna. He holds teaching appointments at FH Campus Wien – University of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, the Academy of Applied Studies Belgrade, and the National Defense School "Vojvoda Radomir Putnik."

Recognized internationally as an expert in disaster risk management, he focuses his research on disaster risk reduction, community resilience, emergency preparedness, response, and recovery, climate adaptation, vulnerability assessment, crisis governance, civil protection, environmental security, and evidence-based disaster policy. With 18 years of academic and research experience, he has authored more than 350 scientific publications and over 30 books and monographs, and has received more than 6,840 Google Scholar citations (H-index: 41).

He has participated in more than 12 national and international research projects, presented his research at over 150 international scientific conferences, and completed more than 400 peer reviews for leading international scientific journals. He has supervised more than 130 bachelor's theses, over 50 master's theses, and four doctoral dissertations, while serving on more than 40 master's and doctoral examination committees.

Professor Cvetković serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Disaster Risk Management (IJDRM) and the International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies (IJCSS). He is the Founder and President of the Scientific-Professional Society for Disaster Risk Management, the Founder and Director of the International Institute for Disaster Research (IIDR), and the Founder and Director of ProSafeNet – Global Hub for Safety, Security, Risk & Emergency Professionals and Scientists, promoting international collaboration among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and emergency management professionals worldwide.

His scientific achievements have been recognized through numerous prestigious national and international awards. He is the recipient of the Danubius Young Scientist Award, presented by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy and the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe, recognizing him as the best young scientist from the Republic of Serbia. He has also received the Exemplary Service Award from Preprints.org for his contributions to open science, the Eurobank EFG Award for outstanding academic achievement, the OSCE Doctoral Scholarship, and the Young Talents Fund Scholarship from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. According to the AD Scientific Index, he is ranked first in the field of Disaster Risk Management at both the University of Belgrade and in Serbia.

Professor Cvetković earned his PhD in Security Studies from the University of Belgrade, where his doctoral dissertation focused on citizens' preparedness for responding to flood disasters. His publications have been widely cited by researchers worldwide and have advanced scientific knowledge in disaster risk reduction, emergency management, community resilience, climate adaptation, and civil protection. Through his academic, editorial, and professional activities, he promotes interdisciplinary research, international scientific cooperation, and evidence-based policymaking to strengthen the resilience of communities and institutions to contemporary disaster risks.

His work bridges science, policy, and practice, with the ultimate goal of improving disaster resilience, supporting informed decision-making, and enhancing the safety and well-being of communities worldwide.
