SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE INNOVATION PERFORMANCE: MEDIATING ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Öz

In previous studies, it is stated that spiritual leadership, which is a leadership approach that strengthens and directs group members with intrinsic motivation based on values and beliefs, positively affects service innovation performance, which expresses the level of success and competitive advantage of service innovation activities in organizations, and knowledge sharing of members in the organization. In this study, it is aimed to examine the mediating role of knowledge sharing in the effect of spiritual leadership on service innovation performance. For this purpose, data were collected from the employees in a manufacturing company by means of a complete count method and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed with the “Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM)”. As a result of the study, it was observed that spiritual leadership had a positive effect on service innovation performance and knowledge sharing, but the mediating role of knowledge sharing in this effect was found to be insignificant.

Ruhsal Liderlik ve Hizmet İnovasyon Performansı: Bilgi Paylaşımının Aracılık Rolü

Öz

Özellikle hizmet sektöründe yürütülen çalışmalar, değer temelli bir yaklaşım olan ruhsal liderliğin örgüt üyeleri arasındaki bilgi paylaşımı ve hizmet yenilik faaliyetlerinin başarı düzeyini gösteren hizmet inovasyon performansı üzerinde olumlu etkisini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmada ise alan yazında hizmet sektörü açısından tespit edilen bu sonuçların imalat sektörü açısından da geçerli olup olmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla “Ruhsal Liderlik”, “Hizmet İnovasyon Performansı” ve “Bilgi Paylaşımı” ölçeklerinden oluşan soru formu yardımıyla hizmet inovasyon performansı üzerinde ruhsal liderliğin etkisi ve bu etki üzerinde bilgi paylaşımının aracılık rolünü test etmek amacıyla bir imalat işletmesi çalışanlarından tam sayım yöntemi ile veri toplanmış, veriler “Kısmi En Küçük Kareler Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli (KEKK-YEM)” ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, ruhsal liderliğin, hizmet inovasyon performansı üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahip olduğu, fakat bu etkide bilgi paylaşımının aracılık rolü üstlenmediği tespit edilmiştir.
