STRATEJİK YÖNETİMDE İŞLETME YETENEKLERİNİN İŞLETME PERFORMANSINA ETKİSİ: BİR ALAN ÇALIŞMASI

Öz

Değişimin çok hızlı yaşandığı günümüzde ülkelerarası sınırlar küçülmekte, doğal olarak pazar sürekli değişmekte ve rekabet artmaktadır. İşletmelerin rekabetçi piyasalarda üstünlük kazanabilmeleri, iç ve dış çevre unsurlarına uyum sağlayabilmeleri için yeteneklerini geliştirmeleri ve bu yetenekleri ile performanslarını artırmaları kritik önem taşımaktadır. Rakiplerin faaliyetlerine hızlı tepki verilebilmesi, yeteneklerin her geçen gün geliştirmesi ile gerçekleşmektedir. Rakipler tarafından taklit edilemeyen ve satın alınamayan üstünlükler ile işletmeler için uzun dönemlerde başarıyı yakalama kolaylaşmaktadır. Başarıyı yakalama özellikleri işletme yetenekleri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Çalışmamızda işletmelerin stratejik yönetim düşüncesinde sahip oldukları yeteneklerle (küresel, yenilik, pazarlama-satış, üretim) işletme performansı arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulama kısmında, Marmara bölgesinde imalatçı sanayide faaliyette bulunan firmalarda çalışan üst düzey yöneticiler ile anket yapılmış, veriler istatistik paket programları ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmamızda işletme yeteneklerinin işletme performansını pozitif yönde etkilediği görülmüştür. İşletmeler faaliyetlerinde sahip oldukları yeteneklerini bilinçli kullandıklarında performanslarının artacağı karlılık ve büyüme elde edileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
