The current study examines the direct effect of abusive supervision on workplace loafing and the mediator role of emotional exhaustion in the relationship between the perception of abusive supervision and workplace loafing. In this context, the analysis has been carried out based on the data obtained from the 269 employees who work in the front desk, house-keeping and food and beverage departments of 13 hotel firms operating in the region of Side-Manavgat-Alanya in Antalya Province. Convenience sampling that is among the non-random sampling methods has been preferred to obtain data in this study and SPSS 16 and Lisrel 8.51 software packages have been used for data analysis. The findings of the research demonstrate that emotional exhaustion has a slight mediating effect on the relationship between workplace loafing and abusive supervision.
