Abstract

Ro-Ro transportation, when we consider our country’s geographical position and coastal specialities; it appears as a system of transportation that narrows the transportation activities in the point of time and distance. Zonguldak Port which was founded in 1806, has been activating under the heading of the Turkish Stone Coal Institution. The so-called Port from foundation until the begining of 2000 has been known as the coal transportationhas gained an identity of a favourite Ro-Ro transportation as a result of fast structural changes in the last years. Having a better location camparing with the other Black Sea Ports, Zonguldak, enlarged its hinterland thanks to the connections of railways and highways. Ro-Ro voyages; from the Zonguldak Port has been arranged to Odessy, Skadovsk, Evpatoria and Ilyechevsky ports of Ukraine and Novorosky, Russia.

ZONGULDAK LİMANI’NDA RO-RO TAŞIMACILIĞI Ro-Ro transportation on Zonguldak port

Öz

ÖZET

Ro-Ro taşımacılığı, ülkemizin coğrafi konumu ve kıyı özellikleri göz önüne alındığında; taşımacılık faaliyetini zaman ve mesafe açısından daraltan bir denizyolu ulaşım sistemi olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır.

Yapımı 1896 yılında gerçekleştirilen Zonguldak limanı günümüzde Türkiye Taş Kömürü Kurumu'nun yönetiminde faaliyet göstermektedir. Kuruluşundan itibaren 2000'li yılların başına kadar kömür taşımacılığı ile tanınan liman, son yıllardaki hızlı yapısal değişimler sonucu, Ro-Ro taşımacılığının ön planda olduğu bir liman kimliği kazanmıştır. Lokasyonu itibariyle Karadeniz limanları arasında avantajı olan Zonguldak, karayolu ve demiryolu bağlantıları sayesinde  hinterlandını genişletmiştir.

Zonguldak Limanı'ndan Ro-Ro seferleri; Ukrayna'nın Odessa, Skadovsk, Evpatoria ve Ilyechevsky limanları ile Rusya'nın Novorosky Limanı'na düzenlenmektedir.
