Abstract

Erzincan Altıntepe Castle has been excavated for the first time by Prof. Tahsin Özgüç between 1959 and 1968. ALTINTEPE URARTU KALESİ (2012) KAZI ve ONARIM ÇALIŞMALARI / Altıntepe Urartu Castle (2012) Digging and Restoration Works

Öz

Erzincan Altıntepe Kalesi ilk kez 1959-1968 yılları arasında Prof. Dr.
Tahsin Özgüç tarafından kazılmıştır. Bu kazılarda çıkarılan Urartu Dönemine ait
mimari kalıntılar ve küçük eserler Anadolu arkeolojisine önemli katkılar sağlamış
ve temsil ettiği kültürün tek örnekleri olarak değerlendirilmiştir. 2003 yılından
itibaren Atatürk Üniversitesi ve Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı adına Prof. Dr.
Mehmet Karaosmanoğlu başkanlığındaki bir ekip tarafından kazılar devam
etmektedir. İlk Dönem kazılarının ardından korumasız kalan kaledeki tahribat ve
ortaya çıkarılan bazı mimari yapıların tarihlendirmesindeki sorunlar bilim
dünyasının dikkatini çekmiştir. Devam eden ikinci dönem kazı ve onarım
çalışmalarıyla önemli sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.
Bu makale 2012 yılında gerçekleştirilen kazı ve onarım çalışmalarının
sonuçları konusunda bilgiler verecektir.
