Georgia's Response to the 44-Day Patriotic War

Öz

The article reflects the history of the formation of interstate relations, the position of the Georgian government in the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the balanced foreign policy pursued against the backdrop of this conflict. The author also discusses Georgia's mediation efforts between the parties since the beginning of the war and its attempts to create a safe environment in the region. The article also notes the Armenian attempts to resort to provocation in the Javakheti region of Georgia during the military operations in Karabakh and the failure of their plans to harm the development of ethnic relations in the country. The reactions of the Georgian Prime Minister and former President M. Saakashvili to the war, the speeches of Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani deputies in the Georgian Parliament during the current conflict and the public disclosure of distorted history by politicians of Armenian origin are also discussed.

Məqalədə ölkələrarası münasibətlərin formalaşması tarixi, Gürcüstan hökümətinin Ermənistan-Azərbaycan Dağlıq Qarabağ münaqişəsində sərgilədiyi münasibət və bu münaqişə fonunda apardığı balanslı xarici siyasət əks olunur. Habelə, müəllif Gürcüstanın müharibənin başlandığı vaxtdan etibarən tərəflər arasında vasitəçilik səylərindən, bölgədə təhlükəsiz mühitin yaradılması cəhdlərindən bəhs edir. Eyni zamanda Qarabağda hərbi əməliyyatlar zamanı ermənilərin Gürcüstanın Cavaxate bölgəsində təxribata əl atmaq cəhdləri, onların ölkədə millətlərarası münasibətlərin inkişafına zərər verəcək planlarının iflası məqalədə qeyd olunur. Araşdırmada həmçinin, Gürcüstan Baş nazirinin, keçmiş Prezident M.Saakaşvilinin müharibəyə reaksiyaları ilə yanaşı, mövcud münaqişə zamanı Gürcüstan Parlamentində gürcü, erməni və azərbaycan əsilli deputatların çıxışları, erməni əsilli siyasətçilərin tarixi saxtalaşdıraraq təhrif olunmuş məlumatları ictiamiyyətə açıqlamalarından bəhs edilir.
