Green technologies are gaining increasing importance worldwide as countries strive to reduce environmental risks and support sustainable development. Azerbaijan, located at the junction of Europe and Asia, is no exception. This article analyzes the directions of development and the problems of implementing green technologies, as well as their impact on international relations and integration. Particular attention is given to the country’s technological and innovation potential, the assessment of the existing research and development infrastructure, the identification of strengths and weaknesses, and the strategies for expanding technological capabilities for sustainable growth. Based on an analysis of literature, policy documents, and case studies, the readiness of Azerbaijan to adopt and develop green technologies is demonstrated. Issues of regional cooperation and integration, which are key for countries striving for economic diversification and environmental sustainability, are examined. Regulatory differences and institutional barriers that may limit international interaction are identified, and the importance of harmonizing legislation and joint initiatives for shaping development trajectories and addressing current challenges in the green technology sector is emphasized.
