Strategic Prospects of the Organization of Turkic States

Öz

The article examines the stages of formation and evolution of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) as an international institution and analyses the main directions of its strategic development. It is emphasized that the OTS, based on common historical, cultural and linguistic foundations, seeks to transform the existing bilateral formats of cooperation among member states into a full-scale multilateral interaction. The key areas of the Organization’s activities are analysed, including economy, science, education, transport, customs cooperation and tourism. Based on the monitoring of official meetings, summits, scientific-practical conferences, as well as various economic and cultural projects, the strategic directions for further institutional strengthening and expansion of cooperation are identified. Special attention is paid to the role of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the development of political, economic and humanitarian relations with Türkiye and the independent states of Central Asia.

Öz

В статье рассматриваются этапы формирования и эволюции Организации тюркских государств (ОТГ) как международного института, а также анализируются основные направления её стратегического развития. Подчёркивается, что ОТГ, опираясь на общие исторические, культурные и языковые основания, стремится трансформировать существующие двусторонние форматы сотрудничества между странами-участницами в полноформатное многостороннее взаимодействие. Анализируются ключевые сферы деятельности организации, включая экономику, науку, образование, транспорт, таможенное сотрудничество и туризм. На основе мониторинга официальных встреч, саммитов, научно-практических конференций, а также реализуемых экономических и культурных проектов выделены стратегические направления дальнейшего институционального укрепления и расширения сотрудничества. Особое внимание уделено роли Азербайджанской Республики в развитии политических, экономических и гуманитарных связей с Турцией и независимыми государствами Центральной Азии.
