This study was conducted to adapt the ‘The Leisure Constraints Scale for Campus Recreation’ developed by Powers et al. (2019) and modified by Goins (2020) for campus recreation to Turkish language and culture. The scale includes a 25-items in which university students evaluate the factors that prevent them from using and participating in sports, social and cultural activity areas on campus including "time", "management", "social support", "self-efficacy", "transportation" and "safe environment". n=195 from one university participated in the pilot study of the scale, and n=418 university students from six different universities voluntarily participated in the main study. In the analysis of the data, frequency, and percent analysis, the validity of the scale was calculated through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, and its reliability was calculated through the internal consistency method. The Cronbach alpha reliability criterion was used. In conclusion, the six-dimensional scale adapted for the concept of “Campus Recreation Constraints", which is as a new concept for Turkish literature, has been found to be culturally appropriate for Turkish society based on reliable and valid fit index values.
