Programlama öğreniminde soru-yanıt web sitelerinin kullanım durumu: Stack Overflow örneği

Öz

Yeni nesil Web 2.0 platformları, işbirlikli, sosyal ya da profesyonel ağ niteliğindeki araçlardır. Bu araçların ortak niteliği, kullanıcılarının içerik oluşturma rolünü üstlenmeleridir. Soru-yanıt Web siteleri 21.yy’ın ilk çeyreğinde rağbet gören Web 2.0 araçlarındandır. Yaygın kullanıma sahip soru-yanıt Web sitelerinden biri Stack Overflow’dur. Kullanıcılar bu platformda programlama konusu özelinde içerikler üretmekte, tüketmekte, bilgi alışverişinde bulunmakta ve birbirleriyle etkileşmektedirler. Diğer taraftan, yazılım sektörü hızla büyümekte, programcılık bilgisinin önemi artmaktadır. Bu durumda, programcılık özelinde öğrenme ve iletişim ortamı sunan soru-yanıt platformlarının öğrenme ve iletişim perspektifinden incelenmesi ve anlaşılması önem kazanmaktadır. Bu yüksek lisans tez çalışmasında, Stack Overflow kullanıcılarının görüşlerini bağlantıcılık kuramı ve kullanımlar ve doyumlar kuramı temelinde almak amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda kullanıcılara açık uçlu nitel anket soruları eşzamanlı olmayan görüşme yöntemiyle iletilmiş, bulgular analiz edilerek ana temalar belirlenmiştir. Ana temalar, uzaktan öğretim sistemlerinin özellikleri ile karşılaştırılmış ve Stack Overflow platformunun hali hazırdaki durumunun bu özellikler ile benzerlikler gösterebildiği görülmüştür.
