Elmaların Depolanması

Öz

Elma üretiminin 1975 yılında 650.000 tona ulaşacağı tahmin edilmekte olup, bu üretim artışıyla başa çıkabilmek için depolama sorunu da giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Özel olgunlukta hasat edilen elmalar kasalara konularak aynı gün soğuk hava depolarına nakledilmektedir. Elmalar, depolama türüne göre kasaların her iki tarafından hava geçişi sağlanarak soğuk hava depolarına istiflenmektedir. Sıcaklık ve bağıl nem, elmaların uygun koşullarda depolanmasında başlıca etkenlerdir. Depolama sıcaklığı, elmaların donma noktasına göre belirlenir. Sıcaklık düşürülerek olgunlaşma hızı en aza indirilir. Meyvelerden su kaybını önlemek ve yüksek bağıl nem elde etmek için folyo kanat uçları dikkate alınır. Oda ile bobinler arasındaki sıcaklık farkı en az düzeyde tutulmalıdır. Konteyner tahtası nemli olmalıdır. Bağıl nem %90'dan az olmamalıdır.

Storing Apples

It is estimated that apple production will reach 650.000 tons in 1975 and the problem of storage is becoming correspondingly important to cope with this increase in production. Apples, which are harvested at a special maturity are packed in cases and transported to the cold storages on the same day. The apples are stowed in the cold storages according to the type of the storage and by securing pass of air by both sides of the cases. Temperature and relative humidity are the main factors in storing the apples under proper conditions. The storage temperature is determined according to the freezing point of apples. The speed of maturity is reduced to the minimum level by decreasing the temperature. The folio wing points are taken into consideration in order to prevent loss of water on the fruits and in order to obtain high relative humidity. The temperature difference between the room and the coils must be kept at the minimum level. Container wood must be moist. Relative humidity should not be less than 90%.
