Investigation of Studies an 8th Grade Students’ Problem Posing about Triangles
Öz
In this study, it is aimed to investigate the problem posing studies conducted on 8th grade students’ problem posing about triangles and to analyse the problems they have posed. In order to obtain the data, a total of 11 problem-posing situations were asked to create by examining related literature, textbooks and expert opinion. Students are asked to create problems by giving problem-posing situations to students. Problems of students are classified according to some criteria and analysed in terms of mathematical quality. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis was used. Problems were coded by two researchers for the reliability of the analysis, results and the evaluation results were reliable. It ensures that only 33% of the problems found in the findings are mathematical, adequate and appropriate to the given situation. These problems are often found to have low mathematical complexity. It has been found that there are unproblematic sentences and non-mathematical problems in the studies.
