Öz
The aim of this study, which is planned with the desire to find the answers to these questions, is to examine the attitudes of class teacher candidates towards art according to various variables. In this study, the screening model was used and the “Attitude Scale Against Art” developed by Dede (2016) was applied together with the “Personal Information Form” as a data collection tool. Population of this study consisted of the Basic Education Department of a public university in Istanbul and the sample of this study is composed of 211 identified teacher candidates. The results obtained from the data analyzed by performing the necessary statistical procedures are as follows: Teacher candidates’ attitudes towards art are above average. While teacher candidates’ attitudes towards art show differences according to gender, taking part in artistic activities, mother education level and interest levels to art; they don’t show any differences according to age, class level, high school type, farther education level and socio-economic level.

Öz
Bu araştırmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının sanata yönelik tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Çalışmada, tarama modeli kullanılmış ve veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgiler Formu” ile birlikte Dede (2016) tarafından geliştirilen “Sanata Karşı Tutum Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul’da bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinin Temel Eğitim Bölümü, örneklemini ise bu bölümden kolay ulaşılabilir örneklem ile belirlenen 211 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Gerekli istatistiksel işlemler yapılarak analiz edilen verilerden ulaşılan sonuçlar ise şöyledir: Öğretmen adaylarının sanata yönelik tutumları ortanın üzerindedir. Öğretmen adaylarının sanata yönelik tutumları; cinsiyet, sanatsal etkinliklerde yer alma, anne eğitim durumu ve sanata yönelik ilgi düzeylerine göre farklılık gösterirken; yaş, sınıf düzeyi, lise okul türü, baba eğitim durumu ve sosyo-ekonomik düzeye göre farklılık göstermemektedir.
