Öz

Bu editöre mektup, Hıdır Esme’nin (2025) Balıkesir Tıp Dergisi’nde (Cilt 9, Sayı 2, 2025) yayımlanan “Malign Plevral Efüzyonda Kalıcı Tünelli Kateter Uygulamasından Sonra Spontan Plörodezis Risk Faktörleri” başlıklı makalesine yanıt olarak yazılmıştır. Mektupta bulgular acil tıp bakış açısıyla ele alınmış ve acil servisin erken tanı ile zamanında yönlendirmedeki kritik rolü vurgulanmıştır.

Öz

This letter to the editor is written in response to Hıdır Esme’s (2025) article published in the Balıkesir Medical Journal (Vol. 9, Issue 2, 2025) titled “Risk Factors Affecting Spontaneous Pleurodesis After Indwelling Tunneled Catheter Application in Malignant Pleural Effusion.” It discusses the findings from an emergency medicine perspective, emphasizing the critical role of the emergency department in early diagnosis and timely referral.
