Telerehabilitation in Different Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Areas

Öz

Telerehabilitation, a sub-component of telehealth, is defined as the provision of rehabilitation services between the patient and the healthcare provider through communication and information technology. Telerehabilitation in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation; can be applied in a wide variety of areas such as the rehabilitation of pulmonary, cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and oncological diseases. The use of telerehabilitation, which is one of the alternative rehabilitation methods, has become widespread due to reasons such as social isolation processes, transfer problems, and workloads that cannot be met in the clinic. This review aims to examine the telerehabilitation studies in the pathologies that are frequently studied according to the rehabilitation areas.

Öz

Telesağlığın bir alt bileşeni olan telerehabilitasyon, rehabilitasyon hizmetlerinin hasta ile sağlık hizmeti sağlayıcısı arasında iletişim ve bilgi teknolojisi yoluyla sunulması olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon alanında telerehabilitasyon; pulmoner, kardiyak, ortopedik, nörolojik, onkolojik hastalıkların rehabilitasyonu gibi çok çeşitli alanlarda uygulanabilmektedir. Sosyal izolasyon süreçleri, transfer problemleri, klinikte karşılanamayan iş yükleri gibi nedenlerle alternatif rehabilitasyon yöntemlerinden biri olan telerehabilitasyonun kullanımı hızla yaygınlaşmıştır. Bu derlemenin amacı rehabilitasyon alanlarına göre sıklıkla çalışılan patolojilerde yapılan telerehabilitasyon çalışmalarını incelemektir.
