Savunma Sanayinde Bor Kullanımının Çok Kriterli Bir Yaklaşımla Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’nin en değerli doğal kaynaklarından biri olan borun ekonomik, teknolojik ve stratejik önemini incelemektedir. Çalışmanın temel amacı, borun farklı sektörlerdeki kullanım alanlarını araştırmak ve özellikle savunma sanayindeki rolünü bilimsel bir perspektiften değerlendirmektir. Dünya bor rezervlerinin yaklaşık %70’ine sahip olan Türkiye, katma değerli üretim ve teknoloji geliştirme kapasitesini artırma açısından büyük bir stratejik potansiyele sahiptir. Süreç boyunca bilimsel kaynakların güvenilirliği, veri doğrulama süreçleri ve kaynak çeşitliliği ön planda tutulmuştur. Sonuç olarak, borun sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesinin, yerli üretimin ve savunma teknolojilerinin güçlendirilmesine doğrudan katkı sağlayacağı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu projenin geniş kapsamlı etkisi, borun yalnızca ekonomik bir değer olmadığını, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin bilimsel, teknolojik ve savunma alanlarındaki ilerlemesinde belirleyici bir unsur olduğunu göstermektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, yerli kaynakların etkin kullanımının ülke ekonomisine, çevresel sürdürülebilirliğe ve ulusal güvenliğe katkı sağlayacağını ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında yedi değerlendirme kriteri belirlenmiştir. Tanımlanan kriterlerin göreli önem düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla, Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yöntemlerinden Pisagor Bulanık Analitik Hiyerarşi Prosesi (AHP) ve En İyi-En Kötü Yöntemi (BWM) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, borun yalnızca ekonomik bir kaynak değil, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin bilimsel, teknolojik ve stratejik gelişiminde kritik bir unsur olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmanın, borun kullanım alanlarına ilişkin akademik araştırmalara ve uygulama süreçlerine yönelik planlama ile karar verme mekanizmalarına katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir.

Evaluation of Boron Usage in the Defense Industry Using a Multi-Criteria Approach

Öz

This study examines the economic, technological, and strategic importance of boron, one of Türkiye's most valuable natural resources. The main objective is to investigate boron’s uses in different sectors and, in particular, to evaluate its role in the defense industry from a scientific perspective. Possessing approximately 70% of the world's boron reserves, Türkiye holds great strategic potential to increase its capacity for value-added production and technology development. Throughout the process, the reliability of scientific sources, data verification, and source diversity were prioritized. Ultimately, it was concluded that the evaluation of boron in line with sustainable development goals will directly contribute to the strengthening of domestic production and defense technologies. The widespread impact of this project demonstrates that boron is not only an economic asset but also a decisive element in Türkiye's progress in scientific, technological, and defense fields. The results reveal that the effective utilization of domestic resources will contribute to the country's economy, environmental sustainability, and national security. Within the scope of the study, seven evaluation criteria were determined. To determine the relative importance levels of the defined criteria, the Pythagorean Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Best-Worst Method (BWM), both Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods, were used. The findings reveal that boron is not only an economic resource but also a critical element in Türkiye's scientific, technological, and strategic development. This study is expected to contribute to academic research on the uses of boron and to planning and decision-making processes related to its application.
