The Black Sea Journal of Agriculture adopts a fast and effective time management approach by ensuring the validity and reliability of the studies published in the journal. Therefore, the acceptance period of the research article/s sent to the journal is planned as 60 days on average. This time may change according to the return time of the reviewers and the responsible author who will make the necessary corrections.
Initial Manuscript Evaluation
Each submitted manuscript is pre-reviewed by the journal’s editor(s) for its suitability for the Black Sea Journal of Agriculture. The manuscript may be rejected before the peer-review stage if it does not fit the journal's scope. In addition, the manuscript is sent back to the author in case it is not well-written. Checking the manuscript by a native English speaker is recommended if it is written in English. If the manuscript is found suitable for peer review after the first evaluation made by the editorial office, it is sent to at least two reviewers.
The policy of Peer Review
Black Sea Journal of Agriculture employs a double-blind peer review, where the reviewer and author remain anonymous throughout the process.
Reviewer Evaluation
Manuscripts needing revision are electronically forwarded to the author(s). The author(s) should consider the reviewer's comments very carefully and explain each comment or criticism one by one; they should also prepare a detailed explanation in case the author(s) do(es)n’t agree with the reviewer’s critics. The article is considered a new submission if it is not revised and returned to the editor within 60 days. The editor makes a final decision after consulting revisions and corrections made by the author(s).
Final Evaluation
After the favorable opinions of reviewers, the Editorial Board is made the final evaluation. The articles accepted for publication by Editorial Board are placed in an issue sequence.
