This research was conducted to examine the alexithymia levels of athletes according to demographic variables. 458 athletes, 212 women (Xage = 24.74) and 246 men (Xage = 25.40), participated in the research. The research is a cross-sectional and relational survey model, which is one of the general survey models. “Demographic Information Form” and “Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20” were used in the research. Descriptive statistics, t-test and Pearson correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. In the study, it was found that the total alexithymia scores of the athletes differed according to the gender variable; It was found that there was no significant difference according to the sport type variable. Additionally, it was revealed that there was no significant relationship between the athletes' ages and their total alexithymia scores. As a result, it can be said that the athletes' alexithymia scores are below the average and they do not have difficulty in recognizing their emotions.
