STATISTICAL PROSPECTION OF EPIGENETIC ORE DEPOSITS

Öz

Since statistical and computer methods are nowadays finding manifold fields of application it is logical that they should also be used in mineral prospection. This article shows how these methods can be applied to advantage in Turkish mineral prospection. A long list of pertinent references will enable the interested reader to delve more deeply into the subject. It seems reasonable to expect that the geometry of veins and replacement bodies in a mining district should provide a clue to a better evaluation of suspected mineral trends and, if they exist, lead to new discoveries. For this purpose data compiling of known occurrences is suggested for interpolation and extrapolation into adjacent currently nonproductive areas. This research project is mainly concerned with application of statistical methods and computers for the discovery of the quickest and most rational way of estimating possibilities for hidden ores.

EPİJENETİK CEVHER YATAKLARININ İSTATİSTİKSEL PROSPEKSİYONU

Öz

Kompütör ve istatistik metotlarının tatbikat için sınırsız saha bulduğu bu devirde, bu metotların maden aramalarında da kullanılması gayet tabiîdir. Bu yazıda maden aramalarında bu metotların nasıl kullanılabileceği kısaca belirtilmiştir. Yazının sonunda, kompütör ve istatistik metotlarının maden aramalarında kullanılışı ile yakından ilgilenenler için geniş bir referans listesi sunulmuştur. Maden sahalarında, damar ve replâsman yataklarının dağılımında geometrik bir ahenk aramak daima mantıkîdir. Böyle bir ahengin mevcudiyeti ise, cevherleşmiş doğrultunun daha iyi tanınıp, daha iyi değerlendirilmesini sağlayacaktır. Bu yazı ile bilinen zuhurlardan ayrıntılı bilgi toplama ve bunları bilinmeyen sahaların aranmasında kullanma olanakları araştırılmaktadır. Bu incelemeler, bilinmeyen cevher yataklarım bulma imkânlarını araştırırken, en çabuk ve rasyonel yolu izleme ve bu amaç ile istatistik ve kompütör metotlarını kullanma prensibine dayanmaktadır.
