TÜRK ULAŞTIRMA VE LOJİSTİK SEKTÖRÜNÜN İSTİHDAM KABİLİYETİ

Öz

Gelişmekte olan ekonomilerin hemen hepsinde ekonominin kendi iç dinamiğinden kaynaklanan yapısal problemler dikkat çekmektedir. Bu problemlerin başında ise yetersiz istihdam olanakları ve bu durumu ivmeleyen hızlı nüfus artışı gelmektedir. Teknolojik gelişmelerin insan gücüne olan ihtiyacı hızla azalttığı göz önüne alındığında durumun ciddiyeti daha iyi anlaşılmaktadır. Küresel yapı içerisinde özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkeler için büyük bir makroekonomik problem olan işsizlik, artık gelişmiş ülkelerin de öncelikli problemlerinden bir tanesi olma yolundadır. Tüm bu gelişmeler yüksek istihdam kabiliyetine sahip hizmet sektörüne özel bir anlam yüklenmesine sebep olmaktadır. Küresel ekonomik düzen ve artan uluslararası ticaret “Ulaştırma ve Lojistik sektörü” ne olan bakış açısını farklılaştırarak, bu sektörü hizmet sektörü içerisinde yer alan bir lokomotif sektör konumuna taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada ulaştırma ve lojistik sektörünün Türkiye ekonomisindeki yeri ve önemi resmi kaynaklardan elde edilen sayısal veriler yardımıyla incelenmektedir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulguların Türk Ulaştırma ve Lojistik Sektörünün istihdam kabiliyetinin yüksekliğini kanıtlar nitelikte olduğu gözlenmektedir.

EMPLOYMENT ABILITY OF THE TURKISH TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS SECTOR

Öz

In almost all developing economies, structural problems originating from the internal dynamics of the economy are noteworthy. The most important of these problems are insufficient employment opportunities and rapid population growth that accelerates this situation. When it is considered that rapid developments technologies reduce the need for manpower, the seriousness of the situation is better understood. Unemployment, which is a major macroeconomic problem especially for developing countries within the global structure, is now on its way to becoming one of the priority problems of developed countries. All these developments cause a special meaning to be given to the service sector with high employment capacity. The global economic order and increasing international trade differentiate the perspective on the “Transportation and Logistics Sector” and make this sector a locomotive sector within the service sector. In this study, the place and importance of the transportation and logistics sector in the Turkish economy is examined with the help of numerical data obtained from official sources. It is observed that the findings obtained as a result of the study prove the high employment capacity of the Turkish Transportation and Logistics Sector.
