The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between adolescents' attitudes towards social media and narcissism. The research was carried out with 885 high school students (474 girls and 411 boys) in the academic year of 2016-2017 in Antalya/Kepez. “Social Media Attitude Scale“, “Narcissism Scale” and “Personal Information Form” were used to collect data. The sub-dimensions of Social Media Attitude Scale are “Social competence”, “Need of sharing”, “Social isolation” and “Relationship with teachers”. The sub-dimensions of Narcissism Scale are “Power” and “Exhibitionism”. The data were analyzed by using SPSS21 program. In the analysis of the data obtained, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey’s test and multiple regression analysis were used. The findings show that social competence and need of sharing, a sub-dimension of adolescents’ attitudes towards social media, predicted exhibitionism, a sub-dimension of narcissism. In addition, it is concluded that need of sharing was a predictor of power, a sub-dimension of narcissism.
