This research aims to determine the opinions
about science practices of preschool teachers. In this research, the case study
was used to be qualitative research design. The research data were collected from 20 preschool teachers
whose occupational seniority in different kindergartens in Kars varied from 3
years to 16 years with semi-structured observation forms. The collected
data are presented by creating explanatory and inferential codes. According to
the results of the research, while pre-school teachers were planning to science
practices, it was determined to pay
attention to the choosing of materials to be used, the practice to be done is interesting and
appropriation to age and development level of the students. It has been seen that pre-school teachers
prefer experiment activities as science practices. Moreover, it has been
revealed that preschool teachers' self-efficacy in the implementation of
science activities, but they also encounter some problems in the planning and
implementation process. According to these results obtained from the research,
in pre-school education program, Science activity book is suggested that easy
access for teachers, containing science activities, associated with daily life,
from simple to complexity and from perceptible to imaginary.
